Dewitt Carlisle Nix

DeWitt Carlisle Nix, 83, passed away Sunday, June 5th, 2022 in his home. He was born on July 23, 1938 to Elmer and Susan (Turner) Nix in Eufaula, Ok. DeWitt received his Bachelors Degree at Grand Canyon College in Phoenix, Az in 1961, then received his Masters in Religious Education in 1963. He married Anette Reid on August 7, 1976 in Ft. Smith, Ak. DeWitt served in the Marine Corps. He was the Director at Eastern Oklahoma Youth Services and Wesleyan Youth. He was a farmer, fisherman and mechanic. DeWitt loved working on cars, fishing, enjoyed building dune buggys and traveling in his RV. DeWitt is survived by his wife Anette Nix of the home, sons; Nathan Nix and wife Teresa of Frisco, Tx, and Rand Nix and wife Kara of McKinney, Tx, daughter; Fonda Kaye Nix Joesten of Eufaula, Ok, grandchildren; Michael Joesten, Nicky Joesten, Claire Nix, Henry Nix and Nicholas Nix. He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Susan Nix and his brother; Lionel Edwin Nix.
