Dewayne McDonald, 87, of Eufaula, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. Dewayne was born on December 14, 1932, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, the son of Noble E. and Laura Jane (Smith) McDonald. He graduated from high school and then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1950. Dewayne served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on November 10, 1953, in San Diego. On May 28, 1956, Dewayne married Patsy Campbell in McAlester, Oklahoma. They were happily married for sixty-three years. Dewayne was the owner of Napa Auto Parts in Eufaula for over twenty years where he worked with his brother in law, Olen Campbell. He was a member of the Eufaula Masonic Lodge #1. He was also an active member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. Dewayne loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and gardening. Survivors include: his wife, Patsy, of the home; his daughter, Donna Sue Peterson and husband Ken of Camdenton, MO; his daughter in law, Pam McDonald of Eufaula; his grandchildren, Crystal Pelley and husband Scott, Melissa Ford and husband Robby, Kaci Gibson and husband Andy, Blake McDonald, Jacob McDonald, Tyler Peterson and wife Christie and Tanner Peterson; his great grandchildren, Tara Kaiser, Aiden Pelley, Mason Pelley, Alessa Pelley, Kylee Ford, Kenzie Ford, Kelsi Ford, A.J. Gibson, Carter Gibson and Everett Gibson and a sister, Jane Gentry of Wilburton, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Larry McDonald, his brothers, J.D. and Dean McDonald and a sister, Vivian Stites.
