Obituary for Deretha Ellen Smith Deretha Ellen Smith, 78, of Eufaula, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019, at her home. Deretha was born on July 3, 1941, in Powell, Oklahoma the daughter of Weldon and Dessie (Owens) Byer Noah. She married Raymond Lee Smith in 1961. They were happily married for twenty-five years. Survivors include: her sons, Jimmy Ray Smith and wife Cindy of Arizona, Charles Thomas Smith and wife Laurie of Eufaula and John Allen Smith of Eufaula; her daughters, Janet Smith of Sand Springs and Earlene Mae Smith of Arizona; brother, Paul Noah and wife, Tara, of Durant, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Lee Smith in 2009 and three brothers.
