Dennis Ray Combes

Dennis Ray Combes, 87, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at his home. Dennis was born on September 24, 1934, in Forgan, Oklahoma, the son of Lester Arthur and Velma Lorean Flanders Combes. He graduated from Forgan High School. Dennis married Lujena Brannon on December 3, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas. He worked at Valliant-Logger and Pulp Mill in Valliant, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty plus years serving two tours in Vietnam. Dennis worked for Bill Gates Ford for four years as a mechanic and was promoted to service manager. He then went to work for Voigt Motors from 1982-1997 as a service manager. He later worked for Canopies Plus for five years. Dennis was a member of the Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church. Dennis is survived by: his wife, Lujena, of the home; son, Lester "Wayne" Combes of Eufaula; sisters, Linda Malcolm of Vallejo, CA; grandchildren, James Michael Combes of Tulsa, Richard Combes and wife Leanna of Eufaula, and Tonya Cheyenne Kaiser and husband Kory of Haskell; and four great grandchildren, Lucas, Ryan, Elijah and Ryleigh. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Ray in 1984, and a brother, James Lester "Jimmy" Combes in 2019.
