Denise Lynn Sinclair

Denise Lynn Sinclair, 60, of Canadian, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Hillcrest Hospital of Tulsa. Denise was born on December 10, 1962, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Colman and Delia Faye (Gray) Vail. In 1981, she graduated from Canadian High School. Denise attended Connors State College in 1983, where she received her Associates degree. She then attended East Central College in Ada, where she received her Bachelors degree in Nutrition. Denise worked in a sewing factory for several years. She attended Oklahoma State University Technical College in Okmulgee and received a degree in Business Administration. Denise worked at McAlester Regional Hospital in the business office for several years. She enjoyed fishing, reading, basketball, Christmas time and loved cooking, she wrote and published two cookbooks. Denise had a deep love for animals, she raised dachshunds, and loved her dog Daisy and cockatiel, Babybird.

Survivors include: her step daughter, Anna Pesteridge and husband Dan of Marathon, NY; former husband, Gary Sinclair; sisters, Phyllis Hailey and husband Robert of Canadian, JoAnn Cable of Blanco and Faye Taylor and husband Mike of Glenpool; two grandchildren, Connor and Toshiko; nieces and nephews, Edward, Casey, Scotty, Bobbie, and Jason; uncle, Ronald Gray and wife Sue; aunt Ima Jean "Midge" Robertson. She is preceded in death by her parents William Colman and Delia Vail; grandparents, Elmer and Viney Gray and Joe and Minnie Vail; brother, Glen Vail and sister in law Cindy; and niece, Charyl Schultz.
