Denise L Harjo

February 6, 1960 — August 10, 2016

Denise was born on February 6, 1960, in Checotah, Oklahoma the daughter of Johnnie Lewis and Wilma Florene (Burdine) Harjo. She attended grade school in Stidham and graduated from Eufaula High School in 1978. She then graduated from Okmulgee tech in 1982. Denise worked at the Bank of Oklahoma for 30 years. She later worked as an assistant manager at Market Square Grocery Store. Denise was a member of the Eufaula Round-Up Club. She loved the rodeos. Denise"s favorite things were spending time with family, 4th of July parties, shopping, eating and going to ball games. She was a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. Denise is survived: her mother, Wilma Harjo Pittman of Eufaula; her brother, Mark Harjo and wife Carolyn, of Eufaula; her nephew, Shane Harjo and wife Rachael of Stidham and their children, Olivia, Sydney, Ashtyn and Levi; her niece, Nichole Adcock and husband Cory of Stigler and their children, Luke and Amberly. She is preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Lewis Harjo; her grandfather, Simon Burdine; her grandmother, Irene Ogden Burdine; her grandfather, Sambo Monahwee and her grandmother, Melisa Thompson.
