David Lee Walters

April 5, 1939 — February 17, 2015

David Lee Walters, 75, passed away on February 17, 2015 after a short illness. David was born to George Bryant and Pearl Lilly Walters on April 5, 1939. David graduated from Old Central High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma with the Class of 1957. He spent five years in the Oklahoma National Guard. He was a business man in the Muskogee, Eufaula, and Eastern Oklahoma areas. David worked mostly in the insurance and real estate business. He was very well liked. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, metal detecting, and spending time with family and friends. David married his loving wife, Joyce. They were happily married for 26 years. David was a member of the Oriental Lodge #430 of Muskogee. He was also a member of the St. Paul"s Catholic Church. Survivors include: his wife, Joyce, of the home; two sons: Tim Walters and wife, Kim; Ron Walters and wife, Lori; daughter, Paige Ruark and husband, Glenn; brother, Gene Walters; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Walters.
