David "Dave" Alan Brenden

David "Dave" Alan Brenden, 57, of Checotah, passed away on September 9, 2022 at his home. Dave was born on August 2, 1965 in Watertown, South Dakota to Dick Dale and Barbara Jean (Greenhagen) Brenden. He graduated from Clark High School in Clark, South Dakota. Dave worked at Walgreens for sixteen years. He also worked as the manager at Michael's Arts and Crafts for four years and then at Rite Aid for ten years. He loved Nascar and college football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Dave also enjoyed playing cards, dice games, and spending time with family.

Survivors include: his children: Savannah O'Neal and husband, Travis, of Corona, CA and Alexander Brenden, of Fontana, CA; one grandchild, Jenna O'Neal; brother, Mel Brenden, of Checotah, OK; and sister, Carrie Madsen and husband, Matt, of Lehigh Acres, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Valerie Voelsch, niece, Kali Jo Waege and nephew, Zachary Voelsch.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
