David Carl Triplett, 74, of Checotah passed away on November 14, 2017 at his home. David was born on February 15, 1943 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Carl Benson Triplett and Betty Jo Triplett/McCurry. He graduated from Blackwell High School in 1961. In 1964, he married Francine Williams. They were married for several years. David received his Associate's Degree from Northeastern Oklahoma University in Miami. On October 29, 1979, he married Christine Littlejohn. They were married for thirty-eight years. He worked as a crude oil trader. Survivors include: his wife, Chris Triplett, of the home; daughters: Terri York and husband, Trent, of Kingfisher, OK; April Benton and husband, Brandon, of Bishop, TX; Misty Cervenka and husband, Joseph, of Sugarland, TX; and Carrie Limas and husband, Ben, of Bishop, TX; one sister, Linda Sawyer and husband, Dennis, of Waukomis, OK; and thirteen grandchildren: Jacob, Mason, Madison, & Colton York; Hailey, Kyle, Chase, and Westin Benton; Ashton, Atley, and Arryn Cervenka; Ocean and River Limas. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Benson Triplett; mother, Betty Jo Hiten; and stepfather, Newt McCurry.
