Dan Mcguire

Dan McGuire, 91, of Eufaula, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Dan was born on April 1, 1930 in Lenna, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Callie McGuire. He attended Lenna School. Dan married Wilma Jean Dill in 1952. They were happily married for forty years and raised two sons together. Later in life, Dan worked on his farm. He enjoyed tending to his cattle, watching his chickens peck, and sitting under the shade tree in the afternoon looking over the land. Survivors include: sons: Danny McGuire and wife, Laurie, and Mickey McGuire, all of Eufaula; two grandchildren: Melissa McGuire and Ashley Fairchild and husband, Casey; three great grandchildren: Wyatt Powell, Cole Fairchild, and Finley Fairchild; one brother, Billy McGuire, of Tennessee; and one sister, Mae Hardgrove, of California. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Callie McGuire; his wife, Wilma Jean McGuire; and siblings: Jack McGuire, Roy McGuire, Jim McGuire, Doyle McGuire, Beatrice Sweeney, Lavern Coswell, Nina Overby, Joe McGuire, and Denton McGuire.
