Cordelia "Anne" Gilbert

November 9, 1945 — April 8, 2017

Anne was born on November 9, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas the daughter of Johnny Cordell and Annie Mae (Askins) Thacker. She attended school at Cactus Elementary in Cactus, Texas and later attended school at Dumas, Texas. She graduated from Granite High School, in Granite, Oklahoma in 1964. Anne attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She married William "Bill" Lee Gilbert in Nashville, Tennessee. Anne worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for over thirty years. She was an active member of the Eufaula First United Methodist Church. Survivors include: her husband, Bill, of the home; her daughter, Amanda L. Andrews and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; her brothers, Tom Thacker of Nashville, TX and Dale Thacker of Eufaula; two grandchildren, Mike Jr. of Oklahoma City and Jayden of Norman; and a close friend, Justin Harjo. She is preceded in death by her parents.
