Colbert Hill, Sr.

Colbert Hill, of Eufaula, passed away on February 26, 2020, at the age of 74. Born on February 16, 1946 to Siah Leo Hill and Elizabeth Phillips Hill. He was a graduate of Eufaula High School and attended Haskell University, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Creek Nation Community and served on the Creek Nation Health Board. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, television, and he was an active elder at Okfuskee Indian Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Colbert Hill Jr., 36, and mother, Ysabel V. Hill, of El Campo, TX; his siblings: Levi Hill of Broken Arrow, OK; Betsy Hill, Siah Hill Jr., Commey Hill, and Jeanetta Hill, all of Eufaula, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Siah Hill, Elizabeth Phillips Hill; siblings: Juanita Harjo, Dunson Hill, Thomas Hill, and his second wife, Gwendalyn Hill.
