Clyde Louis Briggs, 93, of Canadian, passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Muskogee Veteran"s Hospital. Clyde was born on September 15, 1921, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Harry O. and Sylvia (William) Briggs. He graduated from Inglewood High School in California. He moved to Canadian, Oklahoma in 1995. Clyde was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He built boats, had his pilot"s license and was an accredited skin diver. Clyde was an adventurist and a Man"s Man. He was there to help anyone who needed it. He fought in World War II as a paratrooper. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. Clyde lived a full life and did all he wanted to. Clyde"s family greatly appreciates the love and care of his companion Doris Tracey for the past 22 years; and her family who became his family. Clyde is survived by his companion, Doris Tracey and 9 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Briggs, his mother, Sylvia Briggs, and his brothers, James, Donald, Harry Jr. and sister, Ruth.
