Claudie David Lavelle Lang

 Claudie David Lavelle Lang was born January 15, 1953 in Gainesville, TX to Wendell and Lila (Abernathy) Lang and went home to be in the loving arms of his lord and savior on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the age of 71 years 9 months and 18 days. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Northfork Baptist Church, Eufaula, OK.

 David graduated in 1972 from Shamrock High School in Shamrock, TX. In 1973 he started working for Parking Drilling Company in Alaska until moving to Oklahoma City to help start the family business Lang Tools Inc. in 1976, in 1978 he met the love of his life, Jo Ellen (Jody) Polk Lang and they were married one year to the date of their first date March 3, 1979 in Thomas, OK. In 2001 David and his father-in-law Vernon Hamar started Eagle Oilfield Services in Weatherford, OK they sold the company in 2003 to Greens Energy Group and stayed to manage it until 2013 when he was promoted to Regional Manager and moved to Layaffette, LA until 2015. They moved back to Weatherford and he went to work for Roywell Oilfield Services until his retirement in 2019. David and Jo Ellen moved to Lake Eufaula to enjoy retirement.

 As we gather to celebrate David's life, we will remember his smile, laughter, warmth, kindness and unwavering love for his family and friends. David loved spending time with his family, he loved his grandchildren, his furbaby and watching OSU and KC Chiefs football.

David is survived by his wife Jo Ellen (Jody) of the home; two sons, Heath Lang and wife CheyAnne of Cushing, Matt Lang of Eufaula. three grandchildren; Tucker Lang, Tatum Lang and Tyson Lang. two brothers; Don Lang of Oklahoma City, Darrell Lang of Shawnee and a host of neices and nephews.

 David was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Betty Hamar, sisters-in-law; Christina Lang, Nannette Lang and three nephews; Joe Don Lang, Jared Lang and Griffin Lang.

Memorials may be made in David's name to Northfork Baptist Church youth and childrens programs.
