Claude Marshall Brown BBQ Extraordinaire went to cook for Jesus on June 29, 2019. He was born on September 21, 1953 to Clifford R. and Zelna Clorene (Pumphrey) Brown in Muskogee. He graduated from Porum High School and Okmulgee Tech, now OSU Tech. He started working as a child alongside his parents in the cotton and potato fields of California. Upon completion of Okmulgee Tech, he went right into the sales field selling "ice to Eskimo's". He later went to work for Starr Industrial where he was stationed out of Borger, Texas and met his spit fire wife Darlene Schneider Brown. They purchased the Porum Malt Shop in 1980 where they raised their daughter, Stephany Kash, and extended their family to include every kid who worked or ate with them. Claude later moved his family to Texas where after three years he began selling Dodge trucks and went on to become a General Sales Manager. After retiring he and Darlene moved back to Oklahoma to spoil their grandkids, which he did until his last day. Claude is survived by: his wife, Darlene, of the home; his daughter, Stephany Kash and son-in-love, David of Porum; nine grandchildren, Stacy Kash, Alexis Walker and husband Dalante Walker, Kai Kash, Joseph Kash, Zechariah Kash, Meghyn Kash, Sophie Kash, Jaxtyn Kash, and Clorene Kash all of Porum; one great grandchild, Jordyn Walker; three sisters, Zelna Brown of Stigler, OK; Kathy Moore and Angela Kaulaity, both of Lawton, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford R. and Zelna Clorene (Pumphrey) Brown, one sister, Barbara Meals and a granddaughter Alyssa Kash.
