Clarence D Mcguire

Clarence Dewey McGuire "C.D.", 89, of Eufaula, passed away on March 29, 2020 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. C.D. was born on January 14, 1931 in Lenna, Oklahoma to Charlie (Pete) and Florence Lucille (Hughes) McGuire. On December 26, 1950, he married Betty Jo Shipman. They were happily married for almost seventy years. C.D. served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a cowboy and cattleman. Clarence enjoyed going to rodeos. He was of the baptist faith. Survivors include: his children: Michael McGuire, of Farmington, MI; Marvin McGuire, of Tahlequah, OK; and Debra Grounds, of Ft. Smith, AR; 9 grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert McGuire, of Hulbert, OK and Fred McGuire, of Oklahoma; and one sister, Nema Johnson, of Weatherford, TX He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rex McGuire; and two sisters: Evelyn Boetteger and Kathy Rumsey. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
