Clara Velma Bennett

Clara was born on January 9, 1929 in Vinita, Oklahoma the daughter of Harvey Pete and Chloe Opal (Jenkins) Shamblin. On August 9, 1946, Clara married Bobby Dean Bennett in Oswego, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1999. Clara enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed crappie fishing at the lake. Clara was a member of the Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include: her son, Steve and Shelly Bennett of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her daughters, Carol and Jim Couch of Eufaula, Brenda Bennett-Christy of The Village, Judy and Joe Coppedge of Bolivar, Missouri and Donna Kirkpatrick of Eufaula; her brothers, Gordon Shamblin of Blue Jacket, and Richard Shamblin and wife Janice of Buckley, Washington; her sister, Betty Hudson and husband Paul of Arkansas; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, John D. and Eugene, four sisters, Pauline, Norma, Phyllis and Ermadeen and a granddaughter, Laura Jo Coppedge.
