Cheryl Dean Brown Ary was born May 26, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Claudine Pendergraft and Marvin Janway. Cheryl attended Derby Public Schools in Wichita, Kansas then moved to the Quinton area in 1965 and graduated from Quinton High School in 1966. She graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelors in Elementary Education in 1988. Cheryl married Bobby Lee Ary on March 17, 1969. They had a marriage of almost 20 years with two children, Steve Ary and girlfriend Marquetta Williams of Quinton, Sherry Satterfield and husband James of Enterprise. She had three grandchildren, Cody Ary and wife Shelby of Tecumseh, Katie Joseph Satterfield of Enterprise and Allie Faith Ary of Eufaula. She also had one great granddaughter, Sophie Lynn Ary of Tecumseh. Cheryl's siblings include a brother, Mike Janway of Longtown a sister, Stacy Lawton and husband David of Kettering, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Cheryl loved books and reading, spending time with her grandchildren, going to the library researching her geneology and going for walks. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to so many. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. She loved attending their school functions, extra curricular activities whether it was baseball, drama club or band. She was a teacher and worked for Kats until her retirement in 2009. She was a Christian and of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed going to gospel singing and revivals whenever she could. Cheryl is preceded in death by her mother, Claudine Pendergraft Janway, her father, Marvin Janway and her brother, Anthony Janway.
