Cherry Alene Greene

Cherry Alene Greene, 87, passed away Monday, April 25th, 2022. Cherry was born on January 20th, 1935 to Verner and Carrie (Snow) Nelson in Eufaula, Ok. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1953, then attended Draughns Business School in Tulsa. Cherry married Fletcher Greene on May 14, 1954 and the two were married for sixty two years. She worked for Eufaula Canadian Valley Electric Company from 1964 until she retired in 2000. Cherry loved gardening, animals, witnessing, speaking with her twin sister and cooking, she made the best pecan pies, pancakes, and mac & cheese. Cherry is survived by her daughter; Regina Leigh Greene Holler and husband Chuck of Glenpool, OK, twin sister; Jerry Ilene Jones of Eufaula, OK, grandchildren; Mandie Varnado and husband Michael and Chris Holler, great grandchildren; Andie Varnado, Drew Varnado, Blake Varnado and Kassandra Haney. She is preceded in death by her parents; Verner and Carrie Nelson, husband; Fletcher "Pee-Wee" Greene, grandchild; Delaina Ennis and siblings; Max Nelson, David Nelson and Mary Nelson Muller.
