Charles Lee Burns, 77, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the Saint Francis Hospital of Muskogee. He was born on July 5, 1940, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the son of Charlie Wilson and Vivian Lee (Wallace) Burns. He graduated from high school in California and later received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Fresno. Charles worked as a corrections officer for over 15 years. He was a member of the Heaven Bound Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include: his son, Chuck Burns and wife, Tanya of Knightdale, North Carolina; his daughter, Kim Creasey of Nashville, Tennessee; his brothers Vernon Burns and wife Corkey of Kansas and Victor Burns of Fresno, California; his grandchildren, Amanda and Clayton Miner of Nashville, Erin and Logan Kearsley of Provo, Utah, Mega n Burns of Norfolk, Virginia, Matthew Burns of Christiansburg, Virginia and Teaghan Burns of Raleigh, North Carolina; his great grandchildren, Angelyne, Clayton, Jr., Collin and Corrick. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Douglas Wayne.
