Charles Ernest Fisher, Jr., 71, of Longtown, passed away on January 2, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Charles was born on September 23, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles Ernest Sr. and Betty Mae (Allison) Fisher. He graduated from Skiatook High School in 1968. In 1969, Charles was drafted in the United States Army. He served four years during the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged. Charles worked as a dairy farmer. On January 2, 1997, he married Karen Ann Ferrell in Miami, Oklahoma. They were happily married for twenty-four years. He worked for twelve years at Whirlpool as a manufacturer. In 2010, Charles retired to the lake to fish. He got bored fast, so he went back to work as a bus driver for Eufaula Public Schools. Charles attended North Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Karen, of the home; daughters, Shelly Nichols, of Skiatook; Kara Thomas, of Pryor; son, Stephen Foster, of Tecumseh; step daughters, Janice Zimmerman, of Catoosa; and Connie Austin, of Vinita; step son, Gary Sisco, of Baxter Springs, KS; seventeen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, step son, Terry Sisco; two brothers, Eugene and Harrison; and two sisters, Debbie and Barbara.
