Hunn, Black, & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory Obituary Carolyn Oveta Hoffman, 78, of Eufaula, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. Carolyn was born on September 16, 1942, in Hope, Arkansas, the daughter of Andrew and Clair (Pool) Hatfield. She graduated from Antlers High School in Antlers, OK in 1960. In 1962, Carolyn married V.A. Palmer. They moved to Trinidad, Colorado and had three sons. She moved to Stigler, Oklahoma in 1980. On October 10, 1991, Carolyn married Larry Hoffman in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They were happily married for almost thirty years. In 2005, they moved to Eufaula. Carolyn was a devoted Christian and member of the Eufaula First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Survivors include: her husband, Larry Hoffman, of the home; her sons: Kelly Albert Palmer and Billy Troy Palmer, of Stigler, OK; sisters: Georgia Mae Hogan, of Eufaula; Dorothy Fay Chisum, of Dallas, TX; and Shirley Jean Black, of Nezperce, ID; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Clara Hatfield; siblings: Marlen, Clarine, and Maxine; first husband, V.A. Palmer; and one son, Wade Keith Palmer.
