Carol Jo Mckay

Carol Jo McKay was born on November 30, 1948, to Joe W. and Marie Henry in Lindsay, Oklahoma and died September 10, 2016 at the age of 67. Carol graduated from Capitol Hill H.S. in Oklahoma City in 1967 and attended Central State, Rose State and OSU Tech universities. In 1968, she began work with Lucent Technologies (formerly Western Electric and AT&T). In 1971-72, she served as the factory"s Works" queen. Working the majority of her career as the Employee Activities Coordinator, she retired after 30 years of service as a Public Relations specialist. In 1990, Carol married Gary Clark McKay. Following both their retirements, they lived on Lake Eufaula in the Sandy Bass Bay area. Carol had no children but loved Gary"s 7 children and extended families. Carol had one brother, James Raymond Henry, his wife, Coleen, nieces Amy Henry and Alyson Crawford and great niece Paige Crawford. A memorial service with family and friends will be held at the house at a later date. Special thanks to best friend Bonnie Owens for her love and support during this difficult time.
