Carl Douglas Meineke

Carl Douglas Meineke, 77, of Eufaula, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Doug was born on October 30, 1943 in Earm, Oklahoma to William "Bill" and Alice (Tuna) Meineke. He graduated from Morris High School in 1962. He served in the United States Army. Doug attended OSU Okmulgee and Connors State College. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University. Doug married Mary Francis Sanders on December 31, 1967 in Morris, Oklahoma. They were happily married for fifty-three years. He worked as a Oklahoma Highway Patrolman for twenty-eight years. He enjoyed snow skiing in Colorado and New Mexico and riding his motorcycle. Doug also loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his son and grandkids. He was a member of the Eufaula First Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Meineke, of the home; son, Steven D. Meineke, of Eufaula; and two grandchildren: Gracie and Kye of Eufaula. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Alice Meineke; daughter Christi Lynn in 1970, two brother: Bill and Bud, and one sister, Pauline.
