In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 we are told that there is a season for everything; today is a time for us to mourn, but also celebrate the life of Caleb Alexander McQuay, born to Jason and Rebecca McQuay on February 14, 1995 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A vivacious young man with a million dollar smile, he was quick wit, caring, and generous. Loved the outdoors, he was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed the lake. Caleb attended schools in Stidham, Eufaula and graduated from Checotah with the class of 2013. He was an outstanding FFA student and received the prestigious State FFA Degree which was coveted by many students but only granted to a few. Additional schooling at Indian Capital Technology Center, earned him a welding certification. He was currently employed as a welder by Parker Welding and Advantage Pipeline. Caleb was a member of the Stidham Baptist Church, where he was baptized as a believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. Caleb was raised by Zach and Courtney McQuay who provided and cared for him. Many people played significant roles in Caleb"s life. Grover and Eva McQuay, Johnny McQuay, Ginette Owens, Jean Conway, Justin Baker, Danny and Paula Baker, Angela McQuay, but the most influential was his Uncle Zach, who loved him with all of his heart. Zach, Caleb and Rylan formed an inseparable trio. Caleb is survived today by Zach and his wife Angela and children Rylan and Gracie of the home; sister, Miranda McQuay of Eufaula, grandparents Johnny McQuay and wife Nancy of Stidham; Ginette Owens of Eufaula; Glen Hudson of Oklahoma City; great grandmother, Jean Conway of Tulsa; godmother, Courtney Berry and husband Dusty of Eufaula; special friend Mikayla Burns of Stidham, Jason McQuay and wife Julie of Eufaula; and Rebecca McQuay of Oklahoma City, close friend, Amber Cheyanne of Checotah and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
