Brian Russell Reed

January 4, 1964 — June 11, 2014

Brian was born on January 4, 1964 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Russell Lloyd and Norma Louise (Nixon) Reed. Although he resided in Tulsa as a youth, he spent a lot of vacation time in Stidham and Lenna visiting his grandparents, Lloyd and Dortha Reed and Nadine Haley. Brian had a special uncle and friend in Tracy Haley. They spent a lot of time fishing and hunting. In high school, he played baseball, basketball, football, and also worked at the grocery stores. Brian graduated from East Central High School in 1982. He married and had two children. Brian worked at a meat packing company and plastic pipe warehouse. He also enjoyed working with his mom at the Stidham Community Center. Brian would pop popcorn to give away to the kids and the ladies would even eat popcorn all morning. In 2011, he received his Associate"s Degree from Creek College and OSU Okmulgee. Brian worked at Security Surveillance until his health disabled his working. He was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church. Survivors include: his parents, Russell and Norma Reed, of Lenna; son Shane Reed; daughter, Lindsey Reed, both of Tulsa, OK; brother, Randy Reed and wife, Cindy; and three nieces: Chelsea, Cassidy, and Cailey, all of Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Lloyd Reed; and grandmother, Nadine Haley.
