Brenda Jolene Clanin, 64, of Eufaula, passed away on February 21, 2024 at her home. Brenda was born on July 13, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Billy Joe and Mary Ann (Trusley) Porter. She attended middle school in Eufaula and graduated from South East High School in Oklahoma City in 1977. On May 27, 1983, Brenda married James "Jim" Michael Clanin. They were happily married for 40 years. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over twenty years. Brenda was a life member of the Eufaula VFW Auxiliary Post 8798. She enjoyed scrapbooking, beads, shopping, and going to yard sales. Brenda also loved to quilt, work puzzle books and play mahjong. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family.
Survivors include: her husband, James "Jim" Clanin, of the home; children: Odessa Sue Minor, of Washington State; Shannon Joe Porter, of Eufaula; and Cory Michael Clanin, of Newalla; sisters: Judy Loveless of Newalla and Ronda Glass and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Kayla, Kelsey, Kenna, Brooke, Kaitlyn, Bradyen, Terra, Kimberly, Kristin, and Erin; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe Porter and Mary Ann Pascher; infant brother, Frankie Joe; sister, Becky Smith; and one grandchild, Dakota Minor.
