Bonnie Lorean (French) Shaver Bonnie was born on December 27, 1939 at Bower, Oklahoma to Grant and Nora French. She was born the 11th of 15 children. She died at home with her children by her side on March 24, 2018. We were blessed with her presence for 78 years, 2 months and 25 days (March 24, 2018). As a child, she attended Bower School through the 8th grade. She worked alongside her dad and brothers in the fields. At the age of 12, she could drive a tractor. She met and started dating Donald Gerrel Shaver in 1955. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1958. Bonnie and Donald married on October 23, 1959. On July 29, 1960, they welcomed their first baby boy, Michael Gerrel. Their second child, Jeffery Lynn was born on April 25, 1962. To complete their family, they welcomed a third child, a baby girl, Theresa Carol on November 1, 1965. On September 24, 1980, Bonnie and Donald lost their first son, Mike, in a fatal car accident. They later welcomed 3 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren. She later lost her love, Donald on July 23, 2012. They were married for 53 years. Bonnie was a born again child of God. She served the Lord and believed in the power of prayer. She made some of the best buttermilk biscuits around. Bonnie loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, weed eating, watching football and most of all spending time with her family. She was a loving, giving person who worked for several years as a provider for others. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Mike; parents, Grant and Nora French; brothers, J.D., Everett, Wayne, Bobby, Don and G.H. and sister, Lucille Grider. She is survived by son, Jeff Shaver and friend, Cliff Barber, of Statesboro, GA; daughter, Theresa Andrews and husband, James, of Eufaula, Oklahoma; grandsons, Michael Andrews of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Chris Andrews and wife, Kristen, of Onapa, Oklahoma; and Matt Andrews and wife, Emily, of McAlester, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Gracie, Lane, Parker and Grant Andrews. She is also survived by brothers, Leon French and wife, MaryAnn; Leland French; Arthur French and wife, Dorothy, all of Eufaula. Sisters, Beulah Williams, Dixie Dawson, Ledessia Effinger, all of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Mavis Hairod and husband, Reece, of Panama, Oklahoma. Also two special sisters-in law, Patsy French and Kathleen Shaver, both of Eufaula, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
