Bonita Colleen Work Pearce, 84, of Pocola, Oklahoma formerly of Quinton, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Mercy Hospital of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bonita was born on February 19, 1937, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jimmy and Kathleen (Hubbard) Work. She graduated from Quinton High School on May 12, 1955. She married J.E. Pearce who preceded her in death in 1996. Bonita owned and operated the Franklin County Abstract office. She was a member of the Quinton First Baptist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include: son, Michael Bowman of Pocolo, OK; sisters, Shirley Sisson of Osage Beach, MO, Janis Smith of Houston, TX; brother, Randy Work of Talihina, OK; sister-in-law, Linda Work of Tulsa, OK; nieces and nephews, Matthew Sisson of Osage Beach, MO, Dana and Don Wheeler of Huntsville, AL, Shane and Sara Smith of Cashion, OK, LeAnne and Randy Langley of Tulsa, OK, Rob and Melissa Duncan of Houston, TX, Jason and Carrie Work of Tulsa, OK and Luke Work of Dallas, TX. She is preceded in death by son, James Ricky Work; parents, Jimmy Work and Kathleen Hubbard; husband J.E. Pearce; brother, J.O. Work; and brothers-in-law, Dan Sisson and Dick Smith.
