Bob was born on December 26, 1935 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Adam Jones, Sr. and Hattie Morrison. On December 2, 1954, he married Doris Ann Macom in McAlester, Oklahoma. They were happily married for sixty-four years. Bob enlisted in the United States Army and served before returning to graduate from Stidham High School in 1956. He received his Associate's Degree from Okmulgee Tech in Printing and worked at the Latimer County News Tribune for fifteen years and ran the first off set printing press in color in Oklahoma. Bob also worked as a pipe fitter for Fluor Daniel Corporation. He loved to play fast pitch softball and was an avid golfer. Bob won the Fountainhead Men's Golf Championship. Survivors include: his wife, Doris Jones, of the home; sons: Tim Jones, of Stidham, OK; Jackie Jones, of McAlester, OK; daughters: Paula Hawkins and husband, Gary, of Jenks, OK; Bobbie Gail Self, of Wilburton, OK; and Shelly Lee Hunter and husband, Ron, of Ft. Gibson, OK; sister, Carrie Lee Williams and husband, Danny, of Eufaula, OK; brother, Adam Jones, Jr. and wife, Mary Jane, of Stidham, OK; fourteen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one infant sister, Tiny Sue; and two brothers: George William and Tommy Leon.
