Bobby Gene Burns

September 29, 1930 — March 30, 2019

Bobby was born on September 29, 1930, in Crosslane, Oklahoma the son of John Gilford and Ida (Williams) Burns. He graduated from Quinton High School. After high school, Bobby enlisted in the United States Army serving from March 19, 1952 to February 18, 1954. He came back to Quinton and married Goldie Louise Gordon in 1975. They were happily married for thirty-five years. Bobby was raised in the Church of God and was a member of th Christian Church. Bobby worked in the oilfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle. Survivors include: his special close friends, Deloris K. Scroggins of Checotah and Wilma Fortner of Muskogee, a little buddy Lincoln Tucker of Charlotte, North Carolina and a sister Wilma Jo Jones of Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a stepson, William Emitt Smart, a brother, Edgar Vernon Burns and two sisters Freda Burke and Eloise Bawcoms.
