Bobby Dee Guess

Bobby Guess, 78, of Eufaula, passed away on December 7, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Bobby was born on September 3, 1941 in McAnally Flat, Oklahoma to Ralph and Josephine (Moody) Guess. He graduated from Canadian High School in 1959. On September 10, 1960, Bobby married Ruth Helen Warren at Ft. Gibson. They were happily married for fifty-nine years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1963 and then Master's Degree in Mathematics in 1964 from Northeastern State University. Bobby worked at Edison Junior High in Tulsa in the fall of 1964. He also coached boy's and girl's basketball at Union and Berryhill Public Schools. Bobby coached girl's basketball from 1976 to 1986 and continued to teach math and Algebra at Eufaula Public Schools until 1993. He also worked at DHS for a couple years, before retiring. Bobby was an avid OU fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed crappie fishing, treasure hunting with his metal detectors and was a huge animal lover. Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Helen Guess, of the home; daughters: Pam Jones and husband, Joe; Sandi Guess, both of Eufaula, OK; brother, Joe Mack Guess and wife, Vickie, of Quinton, OK; and two sisters: Phyllis Nixon and husband, Jimmy; and Joany Hernandez and husband, Larry, both of Eufaula, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Josephine Guess; sister Patsy Pratt and brother in-law, Arlis Pratt; sister, Katherine Haynes and brother in-law, Ralph Dowling.
