Billy Ray Chance

Billy was born on June 16, 1952 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Kenneth Ray and Mary Louise (Dennis) Chance. He graduated from Carl Albert High School and attended Bossier Community College in Bossier, LA. Billy enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 23, 1971 and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1974. He worked as a manager at Burger King in Bossier City, in construction, and also for Black’s Funeral Home in Eufaula for over eight years. Billy married Deborah Ann Fowler on February 14, 1995 in Canadian, Oklahoma. He also worked at Wal-Mart until 2003. Billy was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his wife, Deborah Chance, of the home; son, James William Akins and wife, Lisa, of Shreveport, LA; daughters: Stephanie Ann Chance, of Shreveport, LA; Chantel Hernandez, of Stigler, OK; sister, Deborah Lynn Purcell, of OKC, OK; and three grandchildren: Caleb, Cody, and Lane. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Chance; one brother, Donnie Chance; and two sisters, Kathy Dowling and Vickie Anderson.
