She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Virginia Dare Bumgarner Tuley and husband Bob, Paul King Bumgarner and wife Cleona Gray, Kenneth Ted Bumgarner, Betty Jean Bumgarner Wimberly and husband Paul. She is survived by a son, Joe Larol Lindsey and wife Robyn Vietta Lindsey of Kansas City, Kansas; grandson, Joseph Conan Lindsey and wife Theone, great grandson, Leonidus of Savannah, Georgia; granddaughter, Lauren Brianna Lindsey Pomeroy and husband Troy, great-grandchildren Isis and Marek of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter, Anna Lynn Lindsey Chronister and husband Max of Eufaula, Oklahoma; grandson, Eric Brannon Chronister and wife Sarah; great grandchildren Victor and Alexya of Tulsa, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Lindsey Dare Chronister and Sadie Krywicki of Tulsa, Oklahoma; also her youngest brother TS Bumgarner and Jack Cline of Rancho Mirage, California; sister-in-law, Jerry Grey Bumgarner of Grass Valley, California and numerous nieces and nephews scattered across the United States. Billie's childhood was spent in the Davis, Oklahoma, area, then moving to Randlett, Oklahoma area as a teenager. She graduated from Union Valley Schools. Billie was an excellent basketball player. And even in her sixties and seventies could still make baskets with her granddaughter. After marriage, the family moved to Lexington, Oklahoma where she was active in PTO, Band Parents, 4-H and FFA Parent. A dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington, she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. In 1966, Billie went to work for the United States Post Office part time, then full time retiring in 1992. She then moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma to live close to her daughter. There she was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church but her best fun was picking up her grandchildren from school and spending time with them. Billie was known as Mom-Mom to her children and great grandchildren. She loved all her family and especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews, most who called her Aunt Toots which was a nickname given to her by her father. She was an outstanding cook and loved to read. She was a very determined individual and ensured that both her children received a college education. She was always so proud of her brother TS for going to college and constantly told her children that they needed to be like TS. Billie was an amazing woman that worked hard and loved hard. She followed God's path and read the word daily. Her warm heart and friendly smile will be remembered and cherished by all that loved her.
