Bill Shatswell

Bill Shatswell was born on May 14, 1947 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to George and Minnie Shatswell and passed peacefully from this life on August 15, 2016 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas at the age of 69. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1966. Bill worked for H.D. Youngman for fifteen years. Bill was retired from Pittsburg County, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator for twenty-one years. He was a beloved father and grandfather who enjoyed the simple things in life: his boys, grandkids and long peaceful walks on Beaver Mountain just watching his horses. Bill recently dedicated his life to Christ and verbalized this as living one of his greatest lifetime accomplishments. Survivors include: his sons: DeWade Shatswell and wife, Renae, of Wister, OK; Cody Shatswell and wife, Robin, of Depew, OK; grandchildren: Braxton, Brysta, and Brayton Shatswell; Kacy Allen, Bubba Richison, Colton Richison; and great grandbaby, Kash Allen. He leaves behind his brother, Glen Shatswell of Eufaula, the only surviving sibling out of 10 born to George & Minnie. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Shatswell; brothers: Odell, Delbert, Millard, Hershell, JC, and Clarence Shatswell; and two sisters: Lois Freeman and Joyce Hammett.
