On April 18th, 2024, the temperature dropped, the brisk cool wind blew, and the sun hid her face as Mother Earth gave reverence to her loss of Beverly Jane (Dry) Mefford. This beautiful light was born on March 8th, 1972. She was 52 years, 1 month, and 10 days when she transitioned.
Beverly was born to Kenneth and Margie Dry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Beverly grew up in Haskell, Oklahoma. After graduating from Haskell High School, she met the love of her life, Mike, got married and moved to Canadian Oklahoma. And Bev would say, "If y'all don't know where that is, it's between Eufaula and McAlester."
Kindness was an attribute that Beverly displayed and lived. The attribute of kindness led her to a career as a therapist for children. She was employed with Creek Nation Behavioral Health.
Beverly was the favorite of her parents. This honor was gladly supported by her siblings. However, some of the shenanigans her and her daddy pulled led to a few fibs to her mom. Beverly loved doing many different types of crafts. She, her husband, children, and mother-in-love spent many hours traveling rough terrain in their side by sides.
Beverly is preceded by her parents, Kenneth Dale Dry, Margie Marie (Slape) Dry; two brothers, Randell Dale Dry, Melvin Ray Dry. She is survived by her husband, Mike Mefford; her two children, Breanna Stephens (Zack) of Haskell; Jerry Michael Mefford Jr. of Canadian; her siblings David Dry of Haskell, Susie Hobbs (Steve) of Haskell, Patricia Wiedel (Joe) of Haskell; her very special mother-in-love Geraldine Mefford and husband Zeke; and the joy and light of her life, her grandson, Coleson Stephens; along with many treasured nephews and nieces. Oh, and we can’t forget her dogs Zoë and Coco.
