Betty Louise Lashley

Betty Louise (Duke) Lashley, 82, of Checotah, passed away on April 21, 2021 at her home. Betty was born on August 20, 1938 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Russell and Doris Rea (Stacy) Duke. She graduated from Alvin High in Arvin, California in 1956. In 1958, she married Jimmy Ray Lashley in Las Vegas, NV. They were happily married for sixty-three years. Betty worked at Dr. Herring's office as a secretary and bookkeeper for three years. She later worked at a preschool for fifteen years. Betty was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: her husband, Jim Lashley, of the home; son, Todd Lashley, of the home; and one brother, Jerry Lee Duke, of Checotah. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven Mark Lashley, in 2008; and one infant son, Jimmy Ray Lashley, in 1958.
