Betty Lou Willingham, 65, of Canadian, passed away on January 23, 2020 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Betty was born on February 14, 1954 in Canadian, Oklahoma to J.C. and Geraldine (Anderson) Thomas. She graduated from Canadian High School in 1972. Betty attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and received her Associate's Degree from Baytown College in Baytown, Texas. While living in Texas, she worked as a real estate agent and secretary for a cargo shipping company. Betty enjoyed reading, painting, gardening, traveling and crafts. She made porcelain dolls and loved indian artifacts. Betty had an "artist's touch" and could design any room perfectly. She also kept all the headstone at the cemetery decorated with wreaths. Survivors include: her mother, Geraldine Thomas, of Canadian; son, Eric Willingham and wife, Chelseana, of Canadian; daughter, Brandy Willingham and wife, Kristie Tow, of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Johnny Thomas and wife, Barbara, of Indianola; sisters: Jimmie Power and husband, Raymond, of Canadian; Katrina Bedow and husband, Danny, of Okmulgee; Denise Workman and husband, Kevin, of Indianola; and Tammy Palmer and husband, Bill, of Canadian; two grandchildren: Gabriel and EriAnna Willingham; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, JC Thomas; paternal grandparents: Dewey James and Linda Thomas; and maternal grandparents: Frank and Vivian Anderson.
