She was born on August 28, 1927, in Quinton, Oklahoma the daughter of Omer and Stella (Watson) Roberts. She attended Tipton Ridge School for 6 years. She later graduated from Quinton High School in 1946. On June 6, 1946, Betty married Arnold King in Enterprise, Oklahoma. They moved to Nebraska in 1951 and lived there for fifteen years. The family then moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska in 1960. In 1984, after Arnold retired, the family moved back to Quinton, Oklahoma. Betty was a homemaker and also worked in a newspaper office. She was a member of the VFW Women"s Auxiliary in Pawnee City, the Central City Country Club and the Choctaw Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Palestine Community Church in Quinton. Betty"s true love was her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and watching her children and grandchildren in their sporting events. She was a true Ironhead fan. Survivors include: her son, Ronald Melvin King and wife Pat (Moderow) of Grand Island, Nebraska; her daughters, Eva Louise (King) Moderow and husband Bob of Hastings, Nebraska and Samantha Lee (King) Pryor and husband David of Quinton; her sisters, Sue Anderson of Quinton, Gail Russell and husband Charles of Quinton and Wanda Carney and husband Alvie of McAlester; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, "Rocky" Melvin Omer Roberts, Jr.; two sisters, Ossie (Roberts) Bruce and LoEva Thomas.
