Betty Jo Rivers

Betty Jo Rivers, 83, of Eufaula, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. She was born on February 19, 1936, in Goldthwaite, Texas, the daughter of Will B. and Gracie (Wilkins) Holland. On August 1, 1953, Betty married Richard D. Rivers. They were happily married for over fifty years. Betty was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of McAlester. Survivors include: her son, Karl Rivers and wife Donnetta of Eufaula; her daughters, Kristy Campbell and husband Angus of Scotland and Kathryn Hughes and husband Chuck of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Tharon Rivers, Tracie Teague, Kenneth Hughes, Chris Hughes and Ewan Campbell; her great grandchildren, Joseph Rivers and Aiden Teague; and her sister, Brenda Stanford and husband Jerry of Gatesville, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Patsy Ruth Balzen and two brothers, Donald Holland and Will Walter Holland. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
