Betty Gelene Scott, 82, of Eufaula, passed away on March 14, 2017 at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Betty was born on June 23, 1934 in Vivian, Oklahoma to Torres Cuthbert and Clara Mae (Dover) Corley. In 1953, she married Kenneth Richard Scott, who preceded her in death in 1982. They were married for twenty-six years. Betty received her Associate"s Degree in Medical Records from the American Medical Records Association in 1960. Betty lived in Loveland, Colorado from 1961 to 1979, before settling in Eufaula. She was a lifetime member of the Vivian Baptist Church. Survivors include: sons: David Scott and wife, Charolette, of Checotah, OK; Kim Scott and wife, Clara, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Sheri Harris, of Eufaula, OK; brother, Phil Corley and wife, Elizabeth, of Eufaula, OK; seven grandchildren: Jackie Jones Jr., George Jones, Ashlee Harris, Amber Harris, Morgan Scott, Madison Scott, and Macey Scott; and great grandchildren: George William Jones Jr., Layla Epley, Carrington Harris, and Phoenix Wayne Drake. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Scott; two daughters: Susan Duncan and Sharon Jones; and two brothers: Jessie Thelbert Corley and JC Corley.
