Bessie Lee Sizemore

Bessie was born to Bill and Carila (McCarty) Sorrels on October 31, 1934, at Centrahoma, OK. She graduated from Centrahoma High School in Centrahoma, OK. On May 24, 1952, she was married to Blaine Sizemore in Coalgate, OK. They were happily married for sixty-three years. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2015. Bessie worked in the office for East Central Electric Company for many years, before retiring. She came to the Checotah area in the early 1960s. She was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church near Eufaula, OK. Bessie was also a 50 year member of the Eastern Star of Checotah, Oklahoma. Survivors include: A Daughter, Sandra Vernnon and husband Mike of Eufaula, a son, Jerry Sizemore, and wife Kathy and family of Cleveland, OK; Grandchildren, Mike and Erin Vernnon, of Muskogee, OK, Jeremy and Courtney Vernnon of Eufaula, OK, Justine Vernnon of Kingston, OK, and a special little buddy, great grandson Jake Vernnon. Other relatives and many friends.
