Beatrice Mamie Nix

Beatrice Mamie Nix, 86, of Eufaula passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at her home. Beatrice was born on September 7, 1926, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma the daughter of Ottis A. and Mamie Molly (Ward) Pruitt. She graduated from McAlester High School in 1942. Beatrice married Kirksey M. Nix. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1979. She worked as a legal secretary for George Hill and her husband Kirskey Nix for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughter, Donna Henson and husband Wayne of Eufaula; her step son, Kirksey Nix Jr. of Illinois; her brother, D. Pruitt of Washington; two grandchildren, Tammy Brock- Gwartney and husband Kris of Owasso and Kelley Henson Campbell and husband Michael of Eufaula and one great grandchild, Fallon and Ryan Leonard of Edmond. Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Jimmy Grayson Nix.
