Barbara Joan Kerr, lovingly known as BK, age 82, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Tulsa. Born on March 16, 1943, she was the cherished daughter of Robert E. Lee and Virginia Mae Abel.
On November 16, 1962, BK married her beloved husband, Harry Alfred Kerr, in Oklahoma City, and they enjoyed a beautiful marriage that spanned fifty-one years. BK dedicated over twenty years of her life to serving the community through her work in Customer Service for the City of Oklahoma City. She found joy in many activities, including spending time at her flea market on Texanna Road, going to the casino, enjoying her garden, and caring for her beloved cats and dog. BK had a particular fondness for White Russian cocktails, which she enjoyed in the company of friends and family.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Nancy Cliburn and her husband Solen of Eufaula, and Ladonna Roetker and her husband Tom of Bethany, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her. BK is preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael, her husband Harry, and her sister Jean Alleman.
A graveside service to honor BK's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Bower Cemetery under the guidance of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences can be expressed to the family at www.hbmfuneralhome.com.
BK will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, laughter and the love she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
