Barbara Ann Harris

Barbara Ann Harris, 72, of Eufaula, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at her home. Barbara was born on March 17, 1943, in Florence, Texas the daughter of Robert Ervin and Wanda Maye (Gore) Garrison. She attended Florence High School. While in high school Barbara was active in several organizations including: the annual staff for 1 year, FHA for 3 years, Junior play for 3 years, Senior play for 2 years, the Christmas play for 2 years, librarian 4 years, volleyball 2 years and pep squad for 3 years. She succeeded by her graduating class of 1961. On October 14, 1961, she married William Robert Harris in Florence, Texas. Barbara worked as a teacher"s aide in Tol Tec, Arizona for 5 ½ years then in Hickory Creek, Texas. She was a substitute teacher for three years. Survivors include: her son, Phillip C. Harris of Temple, Texas; her daughter, Lisa Lyn Buckley and husband Keith of Eufaula; two grandchildren, Cody E. Buckley and Seb A. Harris; her sister, Bessie Henry and husband Homer of Round Rock, Texas and her brother in law, Charles of Florence, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband William R. Harris and a granddaughter, Bethany L. Harris.
