Armond Dean Mahan

Armond Dean Mahan, 91, of Eufaula, passed away on October 24, 2023 at the Claremore VA Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. Armond was born on October 4, 1932 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Ben Chester and Maude (Moore) Mahan. He attended Weleetka School. In 1953, Armond was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. After serving three years in Army, Armond enlisted in the United States Air Force. He worked as an electrician aviation mechanic in the United States Air Force. Armond served a total of twenty-one years in the United States military and retired on April 25, 1974. He worked at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas for several years after retiring from the military. In 1980, he married Alice Blattman in Las Vegas. They were married for twenty-eight years, before she preceded him in death in 2008. In 1994, they moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma where he resided. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering. Armond had a tool for everything.

Survivors include: his brothers: Clifford Mahan, of Okmulgee and Andy Mahan, of Henryetta; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Maude Mahan; wife, Alice Mahan; two brothers: Ben and Kenneth Mahan; and one sister, Anita Wells.
