Allen Wayne Runyon

December 27, 1946 — February 7, 2013

Wayne was born on December 27, 1946 in Fairbury, Illinois the son of Edgar and Ellen Faye (Goodwin) Runyon. He graduated from Fairbury High School. In his younger years Wayne played semi-pro football for the Philadelphia Eagles Farm Team. On May 27, 1966, Wayne married Brenda Sue Lock in Strawn, Illinois. Wayne worked in the food service industry for over thirty-five years. He owned and operated Checkers Pizza for one year and the Pizza Shoppe for ten years. He worked as a trouble shooter in various states for Ken’s Pizza and managed the local Ken’s in Eufaula, spending a lifetime in the pizza industry. Wayne started the Eufaula Pee Wee Football League. He held Christian Youth Camps at both Fountain Head and Arrowhead. He was an avid high school supporter of football, band and cheerleading. He was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center. Survivors include: his wife, Brenda Sue of the home; his sons, Larry Todd of Memphis, Tennessee and Douglas Brian of Disney, Oklahoma; his daughters, Kimberly Sue Smelser and husband Kelly of Eufaula and Amber Renae Runyon of Eufaula; his sister, Barbara Schaffer of Fairbury, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, Brittany, James, Kara, Lexi, Ciara, Mariah, Levi, Christy, Stetson, Heaven, Brady, and Dawson and two great grandchildren, Maverick and Ayden Rey. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Larry Runyon.
