Allen was born on November 30, 1928, in Witt Springs, Arkansas, the son of James Ruben and Mary Beatrice (Drewry) Roberts. He attended school at Briartown, OK. He was in the U.S. Army in 1953 and 1954 actively. He was then discharged on February 10, 1961 from reserve duty. He was a combat engineer and a motor officer in the Korean conflict. He owned his own business as a grading contractor in the Bethany area for most of his adult life. He was later joined in that business by his sons, Kenny and Mike. The business continues to operate as Allen Roberts & Sons. He retired to Lake Eufaula where he enjoyed the rest of his life with his loving wife of 40 years and his dachshunds, Rowdy and Jessie who were his constant companions. He was an amazing dad and papa, kind, loving, gentle and a great role model. He spent a lifetime playing with and joining his kids and grandkids riding motorcycles, ATV"s and boating. He had a heart of gold which was full of love and orneriness. He was embraced as "Papa" by anyone who knew his children and grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Roberts "Nana", of the home; his sons, Kenny Roberts and wife Julie of Bethany, Mike Roberts and wife Stacey of OKC and Chris Branson of OKC; his daughters, Kathy Brown and husband Willie and Sherri Biswell and husband Randy; his brothers, Alfred Roberts and wife Leona of Meade, CO and Ralph Roberts of OKC; his sisters, Pauline Miller of Muskogee, and Mary Loudermilk and husband Wayne of Bethany; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, JR & Beatrice Roberts, a brother, Coy Roberts a Sister, Sylvia Norsworthy and his #1 ACE grandson, Uriah Golden.
