Adolphus Acord

Adolphus Acord, 98, resident of Stidham, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, March 13, 2020. Adolphus was born on May 31, 1921, in Stidham, Oklahoma, the son of Oliver J. and Molly Acord. He attended Stidham Public Schools and lived in the Stidham area all of his life. On January 2, 1945, Adolphus married Betty Louise Myers. They raised five children. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son in law Gale Franklin Evans and grandson Bradley Allen Evans. Adolphus was a propane salesman by trade. He loved to fish, hunt, raise a garden, and ranch. He drove the school bus for Stidham School and was a welder. He is survived by his children, Linda Evans of Okmulgee, , Alvin Acord of Oklahoma City, Roxann & Howard Hobbs of Checotah, Marlene and Neal Blue of Checotah, Darnell and Kevin Burgess of Norman; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
