Wanda Geraldine Weathersby

Wanda Geraldine Weathersby, 95, of San Angelo, Texas, formerly of Quinton, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024. Wanda was born on May 4, 1928, in Hugoton, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar and Margorie (Symonds) Rhynes. She graduated from Quinton High School in 1946. She was a cafeteria worker for 15 years at the junior high school. Wanda married Richard Henry Weathersby on May 15, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1997. Wanda was a member of the Featherston Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and studying history.

Survivors include: her son, Scott Weathersby and wife Carrie of San Angelo, TX; daughter, Sandra George of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Holly Story of Bridgeport, TX, Logan Cook of Grove, OK, Amy George of Dallas, TX, Jason Weathersby of Sea Drift, TX; sister, Jenny Weathersby of Quinton, OK; great grandchildren, Ellie and Issic. She is preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Margorie Rhynes, her husband, Richard, sister, Peggy Rhynes and daughter Kim Hearn.
